Bedfordshire is set in a rich rural landscape and is home to many areas of outstanding natural beauty and attractions including stately homes such as Woburn Abbey and Wrest Park. You can visit a wide variety of woodland walks and nature reserves like Marston Vale Forest and Sundon Hills Country Park, as well as animal parks such as Woburn Safari Park and Whipsnade Zoo.

The county has a rich history and heritage; John Bunyan, author of The Pilgrim’s Progress was born here. The village of Cardington is home to one of the largest airship hangars in the world, which is now a prime venue for filmmakers, having housed sets for the latest Batman movies and other Hollywood blockbusters.

Other attractions include Bedford Butterfly Park, Cecil Higgins Art Gallery and Museum, Moot Hall Museum, Shuttleworth Collection housing vintage aircraft, and Twinwood Arena and The Glenn Miller Museum.
