Service Volunteers

VolunteerOur volunteers range from 16 -82 yrs old. Each of our volunteers brings their own individual life skills and experience which are valuable to our Force.

We welcome all volunteers to our service particularly within our diverse communities in Bedfordshire Police. We strive to ensure our Police Force reflects the communities which we serve. Formal qualifications are not vital, all we ask is that you have a good verbal understanding of English.

Our opportunities are endless and some examples are:
 
  • Administration Roles within many of our Departments such as Training, Local Policing Team’s, HR, Customer Service and Collision Admin Unit
  • Enquiry Office
  • Contact Management Centre
  • Cadet Instructor’s

INTERVIEW

You will be contacted by the Volunteer Recruitment Assistant who will invite you to an interview to discuss how and where your skills could best be utilised.


TRAINING AND BENEFITS

All Service Volunteers are inducted prior to starting, and provided with a training log relevant to the position that they are undertaking.

Types of training vary from compulsory on line training to buddy training and, where required, specialist training for specific roles. Naturally, Service Volunteers are paid travelling expenses.
