The County of Bedfordshire is an attractive place to live and work. The County is 30 miles from London, with excellent public transport and road networks to the capital and beyond and boasts an International Airport - London Luton.

Bedfordshire is a very diverse county with a population of over 600,000 with a makeup of urban and rural area’s. The two major towns are, Bedford in the North of the County with Luton to the South. Other towns within our County are Kempston in the north, mid county Ampthill and Flitwick, Biggleswade & Stotfold to the east with Dunstable and Leighton Buzzard to the South.

Woburn AbbeyAlongside the Urban areas, Bedfordshire also boasts some beautiful rural towns & villages including Woburn, Risley, Oakley, Lavendon, Sharnbrook, Silsoe, Eaton Bray, Toddington & Totternhoe.

Bedfordshire is very proud of its many attractions some of which include: ZSL Whipsnade Zoo, London Gliding Club, Woburn Safari Park, Woburn Abbey , Wrest Park , Marston Vale Forest, Bedford Butterfly Park and The Shuttleworth Collection.

Luton plays host to the biggest one day carnival in Europe and in the north of our County the Bedford River Festival is an event not to be missed.

Our county is also steeped with rich history and heritage, John Bunyan, author of The Pilgrims Progress was born here. The village of Cardington is home to one of the largest airship hangers in the world which is now a prime venue for film makers having housed sets for the latest Batman Movies and other Hollywood Blockbusters. With over 150 scheduled ancient monuments and 3,000 listed buildings, Bedfordshire is rich in history and heritage. Bedfordshire is also famous for the local dish of the ‘Bedfordshire Clanger’.
